In the first match of the day, UAE beat Samoa by 77 runs to confirm the World Cup between Nepal and Oman. Currently, UAE are third in the 'Super Six' points table with four points. Oman and Nepal are at the top with equal points. The only difference between them is the net run rate.

Emirates will face Japan on October 16. The match is very important for them.

Nepal's wrist spinner Sandeep Lamichane has been instrumental in the team's success. He took 10 wickets in four innings. Average 9.40 and economy rate below six. With a target of 148 runs, Lamichhan's main contribution was to restrict Qatar to 142 runs. He took 5 wickets for 18 runs.
