If we don't take special care in winter, our skin becomes dry, chapped, itchy or itchy. So it is important to take extra care of the skin at this time. Suffering increases if not taken care of from the onset of winter. In the beginning, it is often not understood that the skin is drying. Even if there is tension in the skin, if the skin ruptures due to lack of action, it needs to be normalized. Below are some effective skin care tips, which will help avoid winter cracks or dryness-
Be careful about bathing
Use lukewarm water, not hot water, for showering or washing hands and face. Very hot water destroys the skin's natural oils. Use lukewarm water while showering and don't shower for too long. Avoid harsh or perfumed soaps. Baby soaps or moisturizing cleansers are good for babies. Mix milk and honey and apply on the skin for 15 minutes and wash off.
Be careful with moisturizer
Use moisturizer before the onset of winter. Apply oil or lotion to wet skin after showering to retain moisture. Glycerin, Vaseline, coconut oil or olive oil are very effective. Apply aloe vera gel on face and hands and feet at night before going to bed. You can also use coconut oil. It is very beneficial in keeping the skin smooth. Drink plenty of water
Although thirst is less in winter, it is important to drink water to keep the skin moist. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day. Do not rub vigorously with the towel, wipe gently. Do not overuse the scrub, once a week is enough.
Cover the body with clothing
Cover your face, hands and feet when you go out. Instead of wearing woolen clothes directly, wear thin cotton clothes. Use regular lip balm (Vaseline/Butter/Glycerin) on lips. Put coconut oil or Vaseline on cracked heels and sleep in socks.
