Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Kamal Uddin was freed from the blockade after two and a half hours. He was released on Wednesday (October 15) around 3:30 p.m.

Earlier, at 12:50 PM, Kamal Uddin was blocked in the Suhrawardy Hall Parliament on allegations of vote rigging for the post of VP (Vice President). Chhatra Dal leaders and activists demanded a recount of the votes for this post.

However, the leaders and workers of Chhatra Dal blocked the way from the gate of the building.

Chhatra Dal leaders and activists alleged that Jamadiul Awal was defeated for the post of VP in Suhrawardy Hall through rigging. He was given 1 thousand 203 votes, it is mentioned that Niamat Ullah supported by Chhatra Shibir got 1 thousand 206 votes.

Earlier, voting in Chaksu, hall and hostel parliamentary elections held after 35 years was held on Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm. 13 panels participated in this year's election, 908 candidates for 232 positions.
