Bangladesh Jamaat -e -Islami Naeem Amir Dr. has emphasized the referendum before the national elections. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher.
He made the remarks while talking to the media after the emergency meeting of the National Unity Commission on the implementation process of the Charter on Wednesday (October 5th).
Dr. Taher said the referendum must be held in November. The BNP disagreed in the referendum from the beginning. But in the end they have agreed. Thanks to the BNP on behalf of Jamaat for this. The decision should be made from the people before the elections.
Opposing the referendum on the day of the election, he said, if there is a referendum on the day of the election, what will be the vote for the upper house again? It is a situation of buying clothes before childbirth. How will people vote before the upper house? This can lead to a constitutional crisis.
Expressing concern about the referendum, the Jamaat leader said that the BNP will be desperate to raise the vote on the same day. Candidates and voters do not have the head of the election day. At that time the referendum will be less voting.
Regarding the signing of the July certificate, he said, one day there is left, that day I will see if I will sign. However, I do not see uncertainty about the sign. I received the invitation to the signature. Hopefully we will be present.
