The National Citizens Party (NCP) has called on the government to quickly accept the logical demands of MPO teachers. The party alleges that teachers have been repeatedly forced to leave the classroom due to the irresponsibility of the government and the Ministry of Education, which is harmful to the country's education system.
The party made the call on Tuesday (October 8th) in a notice signed by NCP Education and Research Secretary Faisal Mahmud Shant.
The statement states that in the independent and democratic countries, everyone will regularly raise their demands and the government will take a logical solution to it seriously. But instead, the incident of the protesting teachers is blasphemous. The NCP has expressed intense anger and condemnation.
A delegation led by NCP's southern chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah, senior joint convener Samanta Sharmin and Education and Research Secretary Faisal Mahmud Shantar on October 12 expressed solidarity with teachers at the Central Shaheed Minar. The NCP said they would continue to fight until the teachers' demands were received.
The NCP believes that since independence, it is important to stop the destruction of the state -run education system and the depreciation of teachers and build new and effective education systems. Despite the mass uprising of the students and the people, the government did not take initiative to reform the expected education.
The notice also said that the NCP is committed to the development of the education system and the rights of teachers. The convenor Nahid Islam has promised to renew education in the 20 -point advertisement of the new Bangladesh and promises to create a separate and prestigious pay structure for teachers. In the coming days, the work of the party will continue to promote the rights of teachers, respectful pay structures and education system.
