Rashed Khan, general secretary of the People's Rights Council, said, 'Indian supporter Sheikh Hasina is responsible for BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's illness. Because if he compromised he would not have to go to jail, and if he did not go to jail he would not be sick.'

Rashed said, 'Khaleda Zia fought against Indian domination. He is an example and a symbol of struggle for us. Never compromised with Sheikh Hasina. That's why he went to prison on foot and returned in a wheel chair even in good condition. The Indian-backed Sheikh Hasina government is responsible for his illness.
Rashed asked the countrymen to pray for Khaleda Zia. He said, 'I firmly believe that he will recover and play an important role as the guardian of the nation in the next elections. I wish that he can see Sheikh Hasina's hanging in his lifetime.'
