Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal JSD has released the preliminary list of candidates for 170 constituencies in the 13th National Assembly Elections.
On Sunday (November 30), JSD's primary candidate list was released at Jahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of the National Press Club.
JSD General Secretary Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan, Senior Vice President Tanya Rob and others were present at this time.
Before publishing the list of candidates, General Secretary of JSD Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan said that the main goal of participating in this election is to accelerate the struggle of restoring democracy and restructuring the state.
He also said that apart from the state reform movement, participation in the upcoming elections is also part of the organizational restructuring and democratic movement. He said that the demands of state reform will also be conveyed to the people through the election campaign.
Senior Vice President Tanya Robb said, “Participating in the elections is not our ultimate goal. We published this list of candidates to give a taste of the fresh air of democracy to the countrymen who have been stuck in the undemocratic process for a long time. I believe that this election will be the test of how all the democratic forces can rise above the differences and establish a harmony around the election.
He also said that this election is the first step to get rid of fascism and return to the democratic system. As a result, we believe that after passing the first stage, the state will be united and advanced to the final stage regardless of party affiliation.
