The leaders of Jamiat Ulamae Islam Bangladesh have claimed that the statement of the Amir Mufti of Bangladesh, Syed Muhammed Rezaul Karim, is 'false and misleading' about Jamiat Ulamae Islam Bangladesh in Charmonai's Mahfil.
This was claimed by party president Maulana Ubaidullah Farooq, senior vice-president Maulana Abdur Rab Yousufi and secretary general Maulana Manjurul Islam Effendi in a joint statement on Saturday (November 29).
They said in the statement that this statement is untrue. We are surprised and shocked by such lies with the identity of Pir.
They said that Jamiat refrained from participating in the Liaison Committee meeting of Sammanar when the Islamic Movement brought up the PR issue without any discussion in the Sammanar Forum and when they organized a program with one group in Suhrawardy Udyan, going beyond the concept of Sammanar, without any discussion. Because the PR and Box formulas are completely contradictory to each other.
Jamiat leaders said, “Despite the decision not to move towards BNP or Jamaat, we consider it a political fraud for us to participate in the party program of one party on this PR issue without any discussion and decision in the like-minded forum.”
It said, 'We have refrained from attending the Liaison Committee meeting as part of the protest for good reasons. Until then ie our participation in the last Liaison Committee meeting held at the office of Khilafat Majlis, Calvert Road. The next meeting was held at Bangladesh Nezam Islam Party office after Suhrawardy's rally. We did not attend that meeting. So despite this reality, such a false and misleading statement by a party leader without any regard for the seriousness of the religious gathering is a joke with the nation and it is also an unethical political behavior.'
Jamiat leaders feel, 'There may be differences of opinion but it is not at all desirable to create a bitter situation in the political arena by saying such unrealistic and untrue things. The people of the country know that from the election of Hazrat Hafeji Huzur (RA) to the Shapla tragedy, historically Jamiat Ulamae Islam Bangladesh has been sincere in the question of unity in the past? And how uninterested was anyone? So being in an alliance with someone and being in an alliance under someone's leadership is never the same.'
